Here at Bakersfield Mitsubishi, it’s difficult for us to decide what we like best about the all-new Mitsubishi Mirage. For starters, it’s the most affordable small car in showrooms across the US. It’s also the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid gasoline car on the road. It’s truly the best of both worlds.
The 2015 Mirage fuel-efficiency rates are so incredible, they’re causing other manufacturers to scratch their heads. This model offers a unique alternative to hybrid and fuel-cell cars, some of which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. By making efficiency affordable, the Mirage has become a new standard for automakers worldwide.
According to Mitsubishi, the secret behind this efficiency is the engine. “Beneath the hood of every 2015 Mirage is a fuel-sipping 1.2-liter 3-cylinder DOHC engine that features the latest version of Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system that maximizes fuel efficiency and power output while greatly minimizing exhaust emissions.”
Mitsubishi engineers developed the Mirage by thinking outside of the box. By “thinking outside of the box,” we mean not turning everything into 2-ton hybrid/fuel cell-powered car. By decreasing weight and improving engine efficiency, the designers were able to give drivers what they want with a price tag everyone can afford.
