Mitsubishi has been working on electric- and hybrid-powered models over the past few years, and the Japanese automaker recently revealed four of its new models at the Paris Motor Show. Of the four, the . The SUV is designed to represent the automaker’s plans going forward.
The Mitsubishi GT-PHEV concept brings three electric motors and a traditional engine to the road. Mitsubishi claims that the concept can travel as far as 75 miles on the battery alone. With the engine taking on part of the load, that range leaps to nearly 750 miles.
The electric motors power every wheel which means that the SUV is perfect for any driving condition. The concept uses real-world data to adjust energy output and optimizes energy use to use as little power as possible.
As for style, the GT-PHEV concept debuts with Mitsubishi’s current design language that offers a premium look and interior without the price. The seats, for example, are trimmed with Burgundy leather that matches the vehicle’s floating roof.
The GT-PHEV concept debuted along with the eX concept. The Outlander SUV and Outlander PHEV also made an appearance at the Paris Motor Show.
