Mitsubishi Mirage Safety Ratings Push the Minicar onto the Map

You probably haven’t heard all that much about the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage, but that’s about to change. While the Mirage, a member of the too-often-overlooked minicar segment, might not have the press that other Mitsubishi models do, it’s got plenty of great features to make up for that. Besides being one of the most affordable vehicles on the road, the Mirage also boasts great safety ratings as well now.

In IIHS safety testing, the Mirage earned the top rating of “good” in almost every test. More recently, the Mirage went through the testing regime from the NHTSA—and again, it earned excellent safety ratings. It got four-star ratings in front crash tests and five-star ratings on the side crash tests. The Mitsubishi Mirage safety record pushes it to the forefront of the minicar market.

The car’s safety isn’t the only thing it has going for itself, of course. It’s also an affordable, valuable little vehicle with great efficiency. It gets 40 mpg combined, with that rating split into 37 mpg city and 44 mpg highway. And, despite its size and minimal luxuries, which help keep its sticker price down, the Mirage is surprisingly capable and comfortable. Come see us at Bakersfield Mitsubishi to see for yourself!
