You hear a lot of corporations and companies claiming to care these days, but when it comes down to it, very few live up to their big, philanthropic talk. But, there are a few who live up to their own hype.
Mitsubishi shows they care whenever they can – which just happens to be quite a lot recently.
Early in December, Mitsubishi auctioned their first Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition on eBay, with all the proceeds going to benefit the National MS Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter. After a storied 10-year run in the United States, this Lancer represents a fond farewell to a beloved model. Only 1,600 units will be manufactured.
Mitsubishi wasn’t done with that month’s charity work yet, though. They also announced on December 10th that they would be donating $20,000 to Tri-County Operation Cool, a project to increase teen usage of seat belts. Certainly Mitsubishi shows they care with this most recent donation, but they’ve been a long-time supporter of Operation Cool, partnering with the organization since its founding in 1997.
