While all eyes were trained on the Detroit Auto Show, Mitsubishi brought four outdoor-themed concepts to the Tokyo Auto Salon.
The new Mitsubishi concepts were split up in two pairs: two Outdoor Gear and two Active Camper concepts, each based on the Outlander PHEV and Delica D5 minivan.
Outdoor Gear concepts featured matte pearl white exterior paint and black interiors with orange trim all around. The Outlander PHEV rode on 20-inch wheels with off-road tires and sported a bike rack on the roof and a sexy spoiler.
20-inch rubber continued on the Active Camper concepts, though this time the colors were more subdued: Matte silver paint with a black camo pattern both in and out. Then, for the Outlander PHEV specifically, Mitsubishi equipped a roof box, adjustable suspension, a new body kit, and no less than 1,500 watts of auxiliary power.
They were joined by the Outlander PHEV rally car that is heading to the Baja Portalegre 500 later this year. Hopefully, some of those accessories will make their way to Bakersfield Mitsubishi as well!
