The 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV recently earned a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Outlander PHEV received the highest possible rating that the NHTSA awards in the New Car Assessment Program, which shows that the SUV has effective safety equipment and technology.

The Outlander PHEV earned the high rating by performing well in the program’s crash tests. The SUV received four stars in both the overall frontal crash test and the rollover test. In the combined side crash ratings, the vehicle scored five stars.

There are several safety technologies available on the Outlander PHEV which help keep and your family safe, including Automatic High Beams, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Adaptive Cruise Control.
