Mitsubishi lost no time in refreshing the all-new Outlander model for the coming years. Spy shots have given us a glimpse of the popular crossover as it prepares for its debut in what we expect will be the 2016 model year. After the automaker revealed the Outlander plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) Concept-S at the Paris Motor Show in September, it’s easy to see why the automaker didn’t want to wait to bring the concept to life as a production model.
While we don’t know for sure, the Mitsubishi Outlander spied by Autoblog looks as if the refreshed Outlander will take its styling cues from the Concept-S. If that is the case, when the front fascia is fully unveiled we’ll see a large ‘X’ across the vehicle’s front, incorporating the grille and reaching to include the vehicle’s redesigned headlights and surrounding LED lights.
If the refreshed model continues to take its stylish looks from the concept vehicle, we can also expect to see design updates in the vehicle’s rear.
We at Bakersfield Mitsubishi will keep you posted with updates on the progress of the refreshed Mitsubishi Outlander and when the new model is scheduled to go on sale.
