The 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross recently earned a safety accolade from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The NHTSA awarded the new Eclipse Cross the 5-Star Overall Safety Rating, showing that the Mitsubishi is a safe compact SUV.
To earn the honor, the Eclipse Cross posted four- and five-star crash ratings in NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program. The honor applies to SUVs equipped with either front-wheel drive or optional Super All-Wheel Control.
“We work every day to design, engineer, and build safe and reliable vehicles, as proven by this 5-Star safety rating recognition by NHTSA for the 2022 Eclipse Cross,” said Cason Grover, director, product planning, Mitsubishi Motors North America.
In addition to its advanced Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body construction, the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross boasts several advanced driver-assist safety technologies. Standard features like Forward Collision Mitigation with pedestrian detection and Lane Departure Warning help to mitigate or even avoid collisions, making the Eclipse Cross an even safer bet all around.
Of course, there’s more to love about the new 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross than just its safety scores. It’s a dynamic, comfortable, and fun-to-drive compact SUV that’s great for families and go-getters. Ready to upgrade your ride this year?
